Designing commercial and residential climbing walls that inspire movement and challenge climbers of all abilities. From initial client consultation through fabrication, I bring together engineering precision, aesthetic vision, and years of climbing experience to create exceptional climbing environments.
Design Process
Every climbing wall project is a collaboration between client vision, structural engineering, and climbing experience. My process ensures that each design maximizes the potential of the space while meeting safety standards and budget requirements.
Client Consultation
Understanding client goals, space constraints, budget, and target climbing demographics. I work closely with clients to translate their vision into actionable design parameters.
Conceptual Design
Creating initial 3D concepts and renderings using SketchUp and SolidWorks. This phase explores different wall configurations, angles, and feature placements.
Technical Documentation
Producing detailed drafting documentation in Revit, including structural layouts, panel configurations, and CNC cutting files for precise fabrication.
Production Coordination
Collaborating with fabrication teams to ensure design intent is maintained through production. Resolving technical challenges and optimizing for manufacturing efficiency.
Installation Support
Providing documentation and support for installation teams. Drawing on my experience as a welder and fabricator to anticipate and resolve on-site challenges.
